The Horspa Journey: From Childhood Passion to Innovative Grooming

My passion for horses and ponies began in my earliest days, simply wanting to groom, love, and be around them. Over the years, this passion has woven itself through countless aspects of the equestrian world. 

The daily practicalities of horse ownership ignited the inspiration behind my brand, as well as the drive to create kind and humane designs for grooming and tidying. 

 Growing up in Europe, my love for horses and equestrian sports blossomed and has followed me across the globe, now thriving here in California.

A Growing Reputation and a Gap in the Market

From that day forward, I ensured my horses were always impeccably trimmed, tidy, and clean. By my early teens, I was plaiting for other riders at competitions. Word quickly spread, leading to requests to present horses for some of the most meticulous and successful show horse teams. There was immense satisfaction in watching a horse I had prepared trot into the ring, absolutely gleaming. Meeting people and horses from diverse disciplines provided valuable insights into what consumers truly desired in horse grooming products. 

Developing unique and innovative ideas takes a lot of time, but it's a process we at Horspa are incredibly proud of. The amazing support we get from our community drives us to keep growing and bringing you more game-changing horse grooming products.

 

 

Meet Taylor

RETAIL SERVICE MANAGER

Hello! I’m Taylor, and I'm delighted to be the Retail Service Manager for Horspa. My background in managing saddleries has given me valuable experience, and I'm excited to provide dedicated support to our fantastic network of Horspa retail stockists.

I'm a long-time advocate for Horspa products, and it's a privilege to be part of such a dynamic, creative, and forward-thinking team. 

My journey with horses began at age nine. After starting with lessons, I soon proved to my parents that my equestrian interest was more than just a passing fancy, eventually getting my own pony at 13. My younger years were focused on eventing, but now I enjoy the elegance of dressage and the cherished company of my horses.

Warehouse & Dispatch Manager

I'm Julie, the Warehouse Dispatch Manager for Horspa, and I'm so proud to be part of this incredible company and team. Our commitment to natural, chemical-free products is fantastic for keeping horses healthy and ready for anything. I value high-quality, organic ingredients and attention to detail, and I'm excited to continue promoting Horspa and sharing our products with everyone.

My passion for horses started at age six when I began riding. By ten, I had my own pony, and soon after, I was competing and active in pony club.



Meet Lisa

 OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

My love for horses and all animals was innate, stemming from a childhood spent on a mixed farm where my father bred horses for our family. As the youngest daughter, I was fortunate to have a string of amazing ponies and horses handed down to me. When I'm not in the office find me competing in the dressage show across the country.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING MANAGER

I graduated from Florida State University in 2023 with a degree in Marketing. It was during my studies that I bought my first pony, Harry, we now move back to California and start this wonderful opportunity at Horspa, I was thrilled to combine my passion with my profession.

This dedicated team brings together professionals from all corners of the equestrian world, from elite athletes to veterinary experts. Their insights are invaluable, helping us create exceptional horse grooming products that are effective, safe, and stylish.

 


Meet Sandy Lewis

 A Dressage Professional with a Passion for Horses & Horspa Product Expert 

Sandy, a professional dressage rider based in the USA, discovered her profound connection with animals early in life. After years immersed in the competitive dressage scene in Germany, Sandy made the significant decision to return to her roots, moving back to her father's farm in the USA. This transition marked a new chapter, blending her world-class expertise with the familiar landscapes and cherished connections of home. What began as simply mustering cattle on foot at her father's farm has elegantly transitioned into a distinguished career in the refined sport of dressage. She's successfully developed dozens of horses for both sale and competition, and her background in preparing horses for national-level shows means she brings a wealth of experience to her team.

Mrs. Lewis is a dedicated user and true advocate for Horspa products. Her daily essential is the Essential Oil Coat Conditioner Peach and Honey, which she mists over every horse after each training session. And before brushing, she always applies the Mane & Tail Detangling & Shine Spray to every tail, ensuring they stay free of knots.

 


Meet Our Newest Team Member: Bobby & Max

Robert and Max are the newest, and arguably most important, member of the Horspa team. They are our Executive Snuggler and official Horspa product tester, ensuring every product meets their high standards of comfort and quality.
